We want to provide you with an update on our Friendship Village of South Hills community and the ongoing health and wellness of our residents amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

As previously mentioned, we had one residential living resident whose test results were pending as of the time of our last update. On Tuesday, April 7, that resident received a positive COVID-19 test result. That individual continues to receive medical care in isolation in the Friendship Village of South Hills Health Center.  The other residential living resident who was previously self-quarantined at home is now being treated in the hospital. We ask that you keep both of these residents in your thoughts.

We continue to work closely with the Allegheny County Health Department and the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Pittsburgh Field Office.  We realize that this situation is concerning to you, and we are committed to being open and transparent, while respecting the privacy of those involved. We have implemented our pre-planned infection control protocols and continue to follow recommended COVID-19 protocols at our community under the guidance of the health agencies.

We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members.

You are always welcome to contact us directly with questions and concerns. Please contact your Friendship Village of South Hills management team.
